How These Generators Work (they don’t use AI)
Despite the name, these generators have nothing to do with artificial intelligence. They’re closer to a hand-built machine than a smart system — a carefully scripted set of rules that assembles a series of human-made assets in real time, based on whatever text you type in.
Every generator starts with original artwork – fonts are often designed from scratch using Glyphr Studio, modeled closely after the lettering from a logo or album cover. Textures, backgrounds, and overlay graphics are designed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The colors, sizing, spacing, shadows, and layering effects are all defined manually in code, every visual decision is a deliberate human choice – often dozens of them layered on top of each other.
When you hit Generate, your browser follows those pre-written rules and assembles the assets together using HTML Canvas – an artboard tool that has been built into web browsers for well over a decade, long before AI image generation existed. The canvas acts like a digital drafting table: the script places each element in the right position, applies the correct effects, and hands you back a finished image. Everything happens locally inside your browser tab, with no connection to any outside service.
The result looks polished because a lot of work went into building it that way. We test every generator in a variety of browsers and use-cases to ensure it functions universally as intended, but with that being said there are a LOT of variables – if you see something that doesn’t seem to be working as intended please reach out and let us know so we can fix it. People are wonderfully determined to “stretch” the generators to their limits, often crafting things we never intended or thought the generator would be capable of, some of this customizability is intentionally left intact (generally not enforcing character limits), because we believe the ability to “break” the rules is part of the charm. We’d never want to prevent you from entering the entire Bee Movie script and seeing what the generator pulls together as it clings to life.
