Lady Gaga’s long-awaited “LG7” album has finally been revealed as “MAYHEM”, celebrate the announcement with custom social graphics and pfp’s.

Continuing on from the morbid styles established on the lead single cover art DISEASE, The MAYHEM cover generator combines a completely custom font we created called “Gaga Mayhem”, it’s a full set of uppercase characters and mirrored lowercase inspired by the logotype of the album logo. This font is also popping up in various places in Lady Gaga’s branding materials, including a new ‘GAGA’ website logo and the branding for her Tim Burton (of The Nightmare Before Christmas fame) collaboration, and we’ll likely be seeing a lot of it in the coming months.

This custom font is used in combination with Eidetic Neo (a rather traditional serif with a bit of modern flair). To recreate the flipped ‘Ɐ‘ depicted on the recent Mayhem branding, just type a lowercase ‘a’ into the input text box – the generator will convert it to uppercase like the others and flip it in alignment with the rest – for regular A’s simply use uppercase. The close-up portrait appears as an apparent call-back to the iconic “Fame” album cover art that launched her into super stardom.  Markedly different from the bright and cheerful pop aesthetic of her previous works like Artpop. 

We’ve also included a simplified version featuring just the custom text centered on a black background which works great for smaller graphics and PFP’s, first generate an image then click “PFP VERSION” to toggle.

We’ve also created a generator for the alternate MAYHEM cross logo – which is currently being used on some merch and will likely be part of the branding campaign.

For this one we borrowed some of the code from the Cactus Jack Generator – which features a grid for positioning text into a intersecting layout, the concept is the same here – type a character into each box in the grid where you want it to appear and the generator takes care of the rest. The font Eidetic Neo is used again here (in bold this time), again with flipped lowercase ‘a’ like the main generator.
